EGOS is 100% handmade in Nepal. The raw wool is dyed with environmentally friendly dyes. The wool is then carded and work can begin on the actual design of the shoe. The carded wool is shaped. Soapy water is mashed into the wool, forming the small fibers in the wool to bind together. The wet felt shoe is then dried under the sun. A second felt insole is then applied to make the shoe extra comfortable and cozy. The outer suede sole is sewn on at the end. Egos slippers draw inspiration from classic Danish design traditions, where simplicity and functionality are the key words.
