The Sky Cloud Umbrella series, designed by Melanie De Luca, was born from the relationship between designers and their tools, especially with the rise of AI. This plaid series explores co-creation between human designers and AI, using abstract shapes from SPADE-COCO’s library, converted for a three-thread weaving process. It examines how designers partially relinquish control, highlighting the evolving dynamic between creators and their tools.
