This was the first iconic, design-led project, born in 2005 from an exploration of abstracting a graphic motif onto fabric—a process initiated with Studiocharlie that led to the creation of the *Punto Pecora* (Sheep Stitch) pattern: an abstract reinterpretation of the lamb from our logo. The initial versions of this pattern (produced in three different scales: S, M, and L) were created using a specialized "triple" orthogonal Jacquard weaving technique; this method employed rectangular, perforated sheets—linked together—to manage graphic data during the mechanical production process. Each individual sheet, comprising three data blocks, defined the instructions required to weave a single weft thread. The Punto Pecora throw is a re-edition of this original project, now crafted using Jacquard knitting with a tubular construction technique.
