The Danish-Egyptian production and design studio was founded in 2010 by designer Henrik Dahlfelt and architect Ellen Simonia Rasmussen in Cairo. The studio is a collective hub for 15 artisan groups scattered around Egypt and Kenya. The material based designs are born through a negotiation between the designers, the artisans, and the materials. Byhand design through subtraction. Peeling unnecessary details away to embroil the materials in their purest form. The company has showrooms in Copenhagen and Cairo.
