Product description
Touan specialises in Kiyomizu ware (Kiyomizu-yaki) which is a type of Japanese pottery from Kyoto known for its distinctive design and flamboyant colouring. TOUAN is one of the biggest pottery house in Kyoto with about 20 craftsmen working on molding and coloring. All process are done by hand. Yoshiaki DOBUCHI, the 4th and current head master of the house developed and founded pottery called “ Flower Crystal (Hana Kessho)“. It shows various shapes of crystal around glasses, plates, and bowls.
