Yamasakura and our local forests

The Yamasakura series items are carefully handmade one by one by talented craftsmen in Tsukechi village, Nakatsugawa city, Gifu Prefecture. We purchase wild cherry wood logs from tree-thinning activity implemented to protect forests. These wood logs are entirely sawn at the lumbermill to become final products. We produce fine items while protecting limited natural resources. -
