A blanket that appears already folded. A volume that doesn’t exist. A surface that imitates a gesture.Plié uses trompe-l’œil to transform textiles into a familiar yet unsettling presence, opening up new perspectives. By definition, a blanket adapts to shapes, forming real folds through use. Weaving three-dimensional folds into a two-dimensional surface creates a sense of wonder and opens up new perceptual horizons.From a distance, the object plays the part of a well-loved blanket, almost sculptural in its appearance. Up close, it reveals its illusion.The observer is invited to reflect on the object itself: they are no longer simply looking at a textile, but at the very concept of textile. In doing so, they reconsider one of the most familiar objects found in our domestic spaces.
