Germogli Rosa Grande is a large square flat-woven rug made entirely by hand on the traditional vertical loom of Nule, Sardinia, in Sardinian wool with small linen details. Soft pink and deep charcoal stripes alternate across the rug, each dark band edged with a fine turquoise line. Along them runs a wavy white thread dotted with small plum-coloured "germogli", the buds that give the piece its name. Designed by Eugenia Pinna and woven by weavers of Nule, it is a one of a kind piece. Double-sided, about 4 to 5 mm thick, finished with wool fringes. At 210 x 210 cm it fits a living room, a dining area or the foot of a large bed. Colours: a mix of natural and conventional dyes. Also available made to order in custom sizes and colours.
