A piece apart within the Portospino collection. Two wide fields of mustard yellow, closed at each end by navy bands, alternate with bands of fine red, lilac, white and charcoal stripes edged with multicoloured braids. Through the centre of each band runs a line of ambisues, the small leech motif from the traditional blankets of Nule that Eugenia Pinna has made her own. As its name says, the design deliberately drifts on a diagonal. Handwoven in Nule, Sardinia. Its size makes it a meditation rug, but it also works by the bed or in an entrance.
