Nido d'Ape Blu Arancio is a large flat-woven rug made entirely by hand on the traditional vertical loom of Nule, Sardinia, in 100% Sardinian wool, warp and weft. Wide bands of deep blue and warm ochre alternate with narrow stripes of the "nido d'ape" (honeycomb) motif in blue and pale sky blue, a pattern drawn from traditional Sardinian blankets. Designed by Eugenia Pinna and woven by weavers of Nule, it is a one of a kind piece. Double-sided, about 4 to 5 mm thick, finished with wool fringes. At 180 x 250 cm it anchors a living room or a dining area. Colours: a mix of natural undyed wool and conventionally dyed wool. Also available made to order in custom sizes and colours.
