Terrasole is a large rug handwoven in Nule, Sardinia, on the vertical loom typical of the village. The field is split into two tones that meet in the centre: sand on one side, golden ochre on the other, like the earth and the sun that give it its name. Fine vertical dotted lines in brick red and white run across it and make it vibrate. At each end, a frieze of small squares with black zigzags sets the rhythm, before the fringes in natural white wool. A quiet, luminous design that warms a living room, a bedroom or a workspace without crowding it. Woven in Sardinian wool by the weavers of Nule, from a design by Eugenia Pinna. Handmade, so slight variations in tone are part of each piece.
