Portospino Sky Blue is a horizontal wall panel handwoven in Nule, Sardinia, on a traditional loom. Two sky blue fields, streaked with fine darker lines that give a watery effect, frame a warm central band of brown, ochre and coral, with braids in lime green and petrol blue. Through the centre runs a line of ambisues, the small leech motif from the traditional blankets of Nule that Eugenia Pinna has made her own. The edges are finished in navy. Woven in Sardinian wool. To hang above a sideboard, a bed or a sofa, alone or as a series with Portospino Yellow and Portospino Natural Black. Handmade, so small variations are part of each piece.
