Su Pane Su Pane is a large flat-woven rug made entirely by hand on the traditional vertical loom of Nule, Sardinia, in 100% Sardinian wool, warp and weft. Bold stripes of natural white and deep charcoal run across the rug, closed at both ends by a checkerboard border and crossed by a single camel stripe. The name comes from a Sardinian saying about bread and humble, useful work, and the motif recalls the woven mats once used to dry grain for carasau bread. Designed by Eugenia Pinna and woven by weavers of Nule, it is a one of a kind piece. Double-sided, about 4 to 5 mm thick, finished with wool fringes. At 180 x 250 cm it anchors a living room or a dining area. Colours: natural undyed wool. Also available made to order in custom sizes and colours.
